Hi all,
After making all my “oversize” pens, I decided to make me some smaller versions, based on the MB136 style & size.
Attached a picture showing the three pens I've made for my personal collection.
The clip and rings are home made from sterling silver.
1- On top of the picture a pen with a full demonstrator body, revealing my own designed/made piston filling system.
I could have made a demonstrator cap, but decided not , knowing the cap becomes internally always somewhat contaminated with ink spots. However I finally made also a demonstrator cap, as shown on the last pictures
Note the piston is fully down on this first picture, ready for ink intake.
On the second picture the piston is fully retracted, comparing the piston positions on the 2 pictures , you can see the large 31mm stroke the piston makes.
I’ve designed a very compact piston mechanism aiming for a comparable stroke to the original MB136, which features a stroke of 32mm.
This implies these pens can take 1.9-2,0 ml of ink, not bad for a "non telescopic" piston filler !
2- The middle pen is a black hard rubber version which became my daily writer, hence filled with ink !
This pen feature a blue ink window.
3- The lower pen is made from Tibaldi Rosso -Verde celluloid.
Last pictures show the "full demonstrator " version
As always your comments & thoughts are most welcome.
Take care of yourself and you loved ones !
Best regards,
Francis
