For years I had begun the compilation of a list of Italian fountain pens.
These were to have objective data: name associated producer, seller, dealer or other.
I had the opportunity when the Archives State made available "on line" the full list of trademarks registered in Italy until 1965, accompanied besides the number and the date, the names of the applicant, description of the object etc.
Based on these objective data, I built a database (about 400 names found), I looked for more news until now unpublished, and photographs of the pens, at least those found.
To think of putting it available to collectors with a limited cost, write it in two languages, English Italian, the step was short,but the realization has taken much more effort than expected.
It is finally produced a book with red dominant color (red book), easy text, large characters easily readable without glasses, many photographs,
bookbinding cardboard with plastic dust jacket, leaves tied not glued, A4, are not issues that can get along with a low sale price, as the work exceeds 400 pages.
I have therefore decided to propose a first edition limited to 50 copies, which I present in the photographs below.
Will later be replaced by a smaller edition of 300 pages, a bit smaller than an A4 format, with flexible cover and least important aspect.
